Murió Liam Payne, ex One Direction, tras caer de tercer piso de un hotel en Buenos Aires

BUENOS AIRES (AP).— El músico inglés Liam Payne, exintegrante de la popular banda One Direction, murió el miércoles tras caer de un tercer piso de un hotel en Buenos Aires, donde se encontraba de visita. Tenía 31 años.
Alberto Crescenti, titular del Sistema de Atención Médica de Emergencias, confirmó al canal local Todo Noticias que Payne “cayó de un tercer piso a un patio interno” de hotel Casa Sur del barrio de Palermo, en la capital argentina.
Cuando los médicos asistieron al músico constataron “lesiones gravísimas incompatibles con la vida producto de la caída”, según Crescenti.
Un reporte del Ministerio de Seguridad de la ciudad de Buenos Aires indicó que en horas de la tarde agentes se trasladaron al hotel tras recibir una llamada al 911 “donde se informaba sobre un hombre agresivo que podría estar bajo efectos de drogas o alcohol”.
De acuerdo con la versión policial, el encargado del hotel informó a los oficiales que “sintió un fuerte ruido en el pulmón interno del hotel”.
Cuando se dirigieron al lugar indicado, los policías constataron “el fallecimiento de un hombre que se había arrojado del balcón de la habitación”, dijo el Ministerio.
Payne fue identificado por su pasaporte
El titular de Servicio de Emergencias y la policía declinaron responder si la caída de Payne fue producto de un accidente, suicidio u otra hipótesis.
Por el momento, un fiscal investiga como un caso de muerte violenta y es inminente el traslado del cuerpo del músico a la morgue para la autopsia.
“Si es caída libre y no hay nada que lo atenúe, es un golpe prácticamente mortal”, acotó Crescenti.
Entre 2010 y 2016, el cantante integró el grupo One Direction junto a Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan y Louis Tomlinson. Tras la disolución de la banda, Payne siguió su carrera solista.
Según reportes de la prensa argentina, el artista estaba en Buenos Aires para asistir al concierto de su ex compañero Niall Horan.
