MADRID (EUROPA PRESS).- El secretario de Economía de México, Marcelo Ebrard, negó que haya plantas automovilísticas en el país donde se estén produciendo vehículos chinos, señalando que esta es una mentira y un “argumento electoral” que se está dando en Estados Unidos, en medio de la campaña electoral que enfrenta a Donald Trump y Kamala Harris.
“Trump dice que en México hay muchísimas plantas que están fabricando vehículos chinos. No tenemos ninguna”, afirmó Ebrard, desmintiendo así las declaraciones de Trump con el objetivo de defender su política arancelaria en caso de ganar la contienda electoral en Estados Unidos del próximo 5 de noviembre.
“Es una mentira. Es un argumento electoral que simplemente lo usa en el tramo final porque es para ganar votos. No hay plantas chinas”, insistió el responsable económico del Gobierno.
Ebrard también ha tenido palabras de reacción para la política comercial que pretende impulsar Donald Trump, lamentando que la aplicación de más aranceles supondrá destruir la economía de la nación norteamericana “porque no es manufacturera”.
“Francamente, no quiero minimizar las declaraciones, pero no pienso que eso sea factible, no porque México lo impida, sino porque sería un desastre para la economía de Estados Unidos”, argumentó.
Asimismo, respecto al tratado de libre comercio, el secretario aseguró que todas las empresas se van a movilizar a favor de que se mantenga y se fortalezca, con el fin de que se aumente la competitividad de la región.
