GUANAJUATO, Gto., (apro).- Otro bar de Celaya fue escenario de un ataque armado en el que tres personas fueron asesinadas y dos más quedaron heridas al ser alcanzadas por los balazos la noche del viernes 4, unas horas antes de que el próximo alcalde, el morenista Juan Manuel Ramírez Sánchez, anunciara la designación de un coronel del Ejército como quien asumirá el cargo de Secretario de Seguridad Ciudadana.
Desde el 21 de agosto, la seguridad pública en Celaya está a cargo de la Guardia Nacional, que entró a desplazar a la Policía Municipal.
Las personas asesinadas son dos mujeres y un hombre, presuntamente empleados del bar Belfast, ubicado en la calle Prolongación Hidalgo, a la altura de la colonia Renacimiento en Celaya, en una noche en que el lugar contaba con numerosos clientes que departían.

Será la primera vez que Morena gobierne este municipio que por lo menos en la última década -en que había gobernado el PAN- se ha visto envuelto en una pugna entre grupos del crimen organizado que han asolado a negocios pequeños y medianos de todo tipo con la extorsión y el cobro de piso, además de múltiples asesinatos y otros delitos.
Sin embargo, a partir del 21 de agosto la Guardia Nacional entró a asumir la seguridad pública en Celaya, al efectuar una revisión de armas a la Policía Municipal. Desde esa fecha la GN permanece a cargo, lo que en los hechos son ha reducido el índice de homicidios en este municipio.
Desde el 21 de agosto a la fecha han sido asesinadas más de un centenar de personas en Celaya, según datos consignados por el periódico Correo.
El coronel Muñoz es teniente coronel de la Policía Militar. Fue coordinador policial de la Guardia Nacional en Yucatán. Es licenciado en Derecho con maestría en Administración y Recursos Humanos.
El alcalde electo Juan Manuel Ramírez mencionó que el próximo titular de la SSC cuenta con el visto bueno del Secretario de Seguridad federal, Omar García Harfuch, y de la gobernadora Libia Dennise García.
