Asesinan al periodista Víctor Alonso Culebro Morales en Jiquipilas, Chiapas
Víctor Alfonso Culebro Morales administraba el portal de noticias “Realidades. Periodismo con verdad”, y era hijo del secretario general de Gobierno de Chiapas en la administración de Manuel Velasco Coello.

TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ, Chis. (apro).– El comunicador y administrador de un portal de noticias, Víctor Alfonso Culebro Morales, de 39 años de edad, hijo del exsecretario General de Gobierno de Chiapas, Mario Carlos Culebro Velasco, fue asesinado y su cuerpo abandonado en el kilómetro 28 del tramo carretero Arriaga-Jiquipilas, confirmó la Fiscalía General del Estado.
La dependencia informó que, a través de la Fiscalía de Distrito Centro, inició las investigaciones contra quien o quienes resulten responsables del delito de homicidio calificado, hecho ocurrido en el municipio de Jiquipilas.
Culebro Morales, que dirigía la página de Facebook de noticias “Realidades, Periodismo con verdad”, fue hallado sin vida, con las manos atadas y el rostro cubierto con cinta aislante. Al momento de su desaparición llevaba un pantalón de mezclilla y camisa azul, y zapatos negros, de acuerdo con los reportes de la policía.
Nacido en San Cristóbal de Las Casas, vivía actualmente en el barrio Santo Domingo del municipio de Cintalapa, junto con su pareja y dos hijos. De acuerdo con el testimonio de quienes lo conocían, viajaba seguido a San Cristóbal, donde tenía un negocio de venta de agua en pipas.
Mario Carlos Culebro Velasco, el padre de Víctor Alfonso Culebro, que militó en el PRI, ha sido alcalde de Socoltenango, de donde es originario, diputado federal, local, secretario de Movilidad y Transportes y secretario general de Gobierno con Manuel Velasco Coello.
Como secretario de Gobierno, en septiembre del 2018, se adjudicó una pensión vitalicia de 24 mil 180 pesos por 18 años de laborar en el gobierno de Chiapas; el Decreto se publicó en el Diario Oficial del Estado de Chiapas, pero luego dio marcha atrás, cuando se filtró el caso a los medios de comunicación.
En los últimos años han sido asesinado dos periodistas en Chiapas. El 21 de septiembre del 2018, en el municipio de Yajalón, fue asesinado el corresponsal en la zona Norte de Chiapas, de la Organización Editorial Mexicana (OEM), Mario Gómez.
El 28 de octubre del 2021, fue asesinado el excorresponsal de El Universal en Centroamérica, Fredy López Arévalo, cuando llegaba a su casa a bordo de un vehículo en San Cristóbal de las Casas.
El 20 de septiembre del 2022 fue secuestrado el administrador de la página de Facebook de noticias Chiapas Denuncia Ya, Roberto Carlos Flores Mendoza; hasta ahora no se sabe nada de él. Su esposa e hijos tuvieron que huir de Comitán de Domínguez, donde vivían.
