Google lanza una herramienta que permitirá a los usuarios buscar en internet grabando un video
La búsqueda por video consiste en apuntar la cámara a algo, hacer una pregunta al respecto y recibir los resultados de la búsqueda.

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (apro).- Usuarios, tanto de Android como de iPhone tendrán acceso a la herramienta al habilitar las “Descripciones Generales” en su app de Google. Aunque, por el momento, el servició sólo estará disponible en el idioma inglés.
Esta herramienta llega tres meses después de que OpenAI, que desarrolló la herramienta de IA ChatGPT, anunciara que pondría a prueba la posibilidad de hacer búsquedas por medio de preguntas hechas a chatbots (programa informático que simula la conversación humana con un usuario final).
La BBC informó que Liz Reid, directora de investigaciones de Google, expresó que la nueva herramienta de video permitirá a los usuarios explorar y conocer sobre el mundo que los rodea con mayor facilidad. Ejemplificó su explicación de la siguiente manera:
Si una persona que se encuentre en un acuario quisiera saber qué peces está observando, en lugar de buscar sobre en internet y formular la pregunta, la nueva herramienta le permitirá apuntar su cámara, grabar una corta secuencia y hacer la pregunta en voz alta. La IA de Google analizará el video, identificará a los peces, combinará esa información con la pregunta y producirá el resultado de la búsqueda.
Paolo Pescatore, analista de tecnología, señaló para la BBC: “Aquí está el alcance con el que la IA puede realmente volverse colaborativa e innovadora en la vida diaria; estamos en el umbral de que la IA se convierta en algo personalizado y exclusivo, según nuestros patrones de uso y hábitos”.
