WASHINGTON (AP).– General Motors llamará a revisión a más de 449 mil de sus camionetas debido a que el software del módulo de control de frenos podría no mostrar una luz de advertencia cuando se produce una pérdida de líquido de frenos.
La Administración Nacional de Seguridad del Tráfico en las Carreteras de Estados Unidos (NHTSA, por sus siglas en inglés) dijo el viernes que el llamado a revisión incluye algunos Cadillac Escalade y Escalade ESV modelos 2023-2024; Chevrolet Silverado 1500 modelo 2023; Chevrolet Tahoe y Suburban 1500, modelos 2023-2024; GMC Sierra 1500 modelo 2023; y GMC Yukon y Yukon XL modelos 2023-2024.
La agencia dijo que, sin la luz de advertencia, un vehículo puede ser manejado con un bajo nivel de líquido de frenos, lo que puede impedir un frenado efectivo y aumentar el riesgo de una colisión.
A los propietarios de vehículos se les proporcionará una actualización de software gratuita.
Se espera que las cartas de notificación a los propietarios se envíen por correo el 28 de octubre.
