CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (apro).- Ante la multiplicación de los enfrentamientos en Sinaloa, derivados de la pugna entre los hijos de Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán Loera y el hijo de Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, la embajada de Estados Unidos en México exhortó a sus connacionales a no viajar a la entidad, y pidió a quienes se encuentran en la entidad a “permanecer atentos y mantener un bajo perfil”.
En una alerta de seguridad emitida este jueves, la representación diplomática de Estados Unidos indicó que su consulado en Hermosillo recibió “reportes de robos de autos, balaceras, operativos de las fuerzas de seguridad, bloqueos carreteros, vehículos incendiados en las inmediaciones de Culiacán”.
También recalcó que “escuelas están cerradas en Culiacán, Cosala, Elota y San Ignacio hasta el 13 de septiembre”, y que “los eventos para el Día de la Independencia fueron cancelados en Culiacán”, por lo que advirtió sobre posibles actos de violencia en la entidad.
Desde el lunes pasado, las autoridades y la prensa sinaloenses han reportado numerosos estallidos de violencia en la entidad, tanto entre civiles armados como entre grupos de la delincuencia organizada y militares.
El conflicto entre el grupo armado dirigido por Iván Archivaldo y Jesús Alfredo Guzmán Salazar –los hijos de Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán– contra la facción liderada por Ismael Zambada Sicairos, se desató tras la detención de Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada y Joaquín Guzmán López en Estados Unidos, el pasado 25 de julio.
La defensa de Ismael Zambada aseveró que su cliente fue secuestrado por el hijo de “El Chapo” Guzmán, quien lo entregó a las autoridades de Estados Unidos.
Esta agresión habría desencadenado una escalada de violencia entre los “Chapitos” y el “Mayito”, quienes se disputan el control de la entidad. La primera audiencia de Ismael Zambada ante la Corte Federal de Brooklyn está agendada para este viernes 13 de septiembre, a las 10 de la mañana.
